Humanities

At Greenholme we seek to inspire pupils to develop a keen interest in our world and their place in it.

In History, they are encouraged to foster an enquiring mind and to realise that learning about the past can help them to make sense of the world in which they live.

In Geography, pupils study their own locality, as well as the wider world, in both a physical and human capacity.  They are encouraged to understand their rights and responsibilities to both other people and the environment.

Classroom work is enhanced by fieldwork and visits to places of historical interest.
