Through the game of chess children develop analytical and critical thinking skills which impact on every area of their learning. At Greenholme all pupils are taught chess from Year 1 through to Year 6 as part of the curriculum. It is also a very popular after-school activity. Children regularly take part in tournaments at both local and County level.
